Motherhood

Submitted by Krishna on 26 December 2006 - 4:02am.

A mother is the harbinger and builder of a new generation, it is she who links the old values and norms thereby ensuring stability in the social structure. Every mother is a Parashakti and a Jagadambi. The Mahabharat, it has been sung, “There is no sacred love like the Vedas, there is no perception like the mother”. A woman’s status and attitude to life is transformed when she becomes a mother because she becomes a creator. The term motherhood exudes a sanctity which permeates the atmosphere with serenity and peace, with an aura of love and selflessness. A child requires a great deal of mother’s company to strengthen personality.
